
Cerulean Warblers
It is late August and one of the most spectacular events is about to occurr at Las Brisas Nature Reserve: the yearly "en-masse" arrival of the Cerulean Warblers (Setophaga cerulea)! During the next three weeks this generally hard-to-see species will become one of the most common neotropical migrants at the reserve, where it is not uncommon to see over a dozen in a day. V Cerulean Warbler Count at Las Brisas
On Sunday September 08, 2013, the annual Cerulean Warbler Count was held for fifth year in a row. This event is organized by Cerulean Warbler Conservation - Costa Rica (www.cerulea.org) and Las Brisas Nature Reserve in a joint effort to create awareness in of protecting this threatened species, as well as hundreds of other species that share the same habitat.
